Correspondence
Correspondence interns draft letters related to President Clinton’s programs, activities, and professional and personal relationships. Correspondence is initiated at the former President’s request, by Foundation staff, or in response to the hundreds of letters that President Clinton receives each week. Interns collaborate with other departments to ensure that programs and policies are described substantively and accurately, providing interns with an unusually broad view of the Foundation’s activities. Because they often draft documents that President Clinton reviews himself, interns must be comfortable with the editing process. They also handle personal materials, making discretion essential. In addition, excellent writing and research skills, good judgment, creativity, professionalism, and an industrious nature are critical to this position.
