The website provides the best source of information about the Foundation. You can also download a full PDF copy of our latest Annual Report. If you have a specific question after reviewing the site please submit it through the contact form.
- Does the Foundation accept project proposals?
The Foundation is not accepting proposals for outside projects at this time.
- Does the Foundation award grants or scholarships?
The Clinton Foundation is not a grant-making organization, and does not distribute grants, scholarships, or funding for outside projects.
- What kind of work does the Foundation do?
President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation with the mission to strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. To advance this mission, the Foundation works with like-minded organizations and governments around the world to improve lives through several initiatives, including bringing HIV/AIDS care and treatment to underserved populations, fighting global climate change and developing sustainable economic growth in Africa and Latin America. As a project of the Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative serves as a non-partisan catalyst for action, bringing together a community of leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. In the U.S., the Foundation is working to combat the alarming rise in childhood obesity, and is helping to expand economic opportunity by empowering small business owners and entrepreneurs.

- Does the Clinton Foundation have a planned giving program?
Yes. We have a vibrant planned giving program called the Clinton Foundation Legacy Circle. To learn more, please visit the Other Ways to Give section of our website.
- How do I know if my company will match my Clinton Foundation gift?
To learn if your employer will match your gift to the Clinton Foundation, please search using our online matching gift finder. This section will tell you if your company matches, whether their program includes retirees, and will allow you to print out the forms that you will need to submit to your company.
- Are online gifts to the Clinton Foundation secure?
Yes. Online gifts are managed directly by the Clinton Foundation.
- Will my name or contact information be sold or traded to other organizations?
No. The Clinton Foundation does not sell or trade the names or contact information of its donors.
- What percentage of my gift is used for management and administrative expenses?
In 2007, 2.6% of Clinton Foundation expenses supported management and administrative expenses.
- Why is an unrestricted gift preferred by the Clinton Foundation?
By making an unrestricted gift to the Clinton Foundation, your gift will go where the need is greatest. The Clinton Foundation staff and volunteers are making a difference by finding real and tangible solutions throughout the United States and the rest of the world.
- Can I designate my gift to a particular program?
Yes. You can designate your gift to a specific Clinton Foundation initiative by choosing the program in the Donation Information section under the Designation drop-down menu. If you are making a donation by mail, you can check the appropriate box on the Gift Designation section of the donation form.
- Will I receive a receipt for my gift that can be used when filing my income taxes?
Yes. You will receive a receipt by mail for every contribution you make to the Clinton Foundation, whether you donate by mail or online. This receipt can be used when filing your income taxes.
- Is my gift tax-deductible?
All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible, as applicable by law. The Clinton Foundation is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization.
